Popeye is a village in Sicily that was entirely constructed in 1964
for a Robert Altman's film. As part of his work on the star system
and artists' houses, Alexandre Périgot enlarges the picture
of the village enough to cover the wall of a Venetian Palace. Opposite
the photographs, Christophe Fiat offers a text exploring the possible
links between different characters sharing the name of Popeye, ranging
from Faulkner's character to the eponymous hero of American comics.
